Well, if you look at all the decision then yes, politicians really just govern the same way they would play monopoly.

It is funny, really. I think there was this research showing how monopoly brings up certain facts about the players. People like to throw away money and they will do anything to destroy the others. Some games end up with people getting mad, heh :D

I think it is a terrible and unpleasant boardgame, and from what I hear it was originally made by a Georgist, who deliberately made it that way.

And uh, yeah. Bad politicians are bad.

Yes. A lot of board games can be unpleasant because people usually get unpleasant but Monopoly and rip-offs are designed in a specific way that only a complete a-hole can win. Never enjoyed it and played it in a way that sabotages other business at the expense of my own :D
You waste time, everybody loses and the "winner" is totally poor at the end anyway :D
